Geek Version:

The traditional Viking ales were lighter in color, but this version is darker to complement heavy applewood and cottonwood CMC smoked malts, along with SLV rye, raw barley, and Haefeli’s salt cedar honey & oats.  The Juniper used is local from our Rocky Mountains, being a little fresher and more pungent than the Euro-berries.  A mysterious style from the Baltic Sea Island.

Translation:

From the island of Beowulf (Gotland, off the East Coast of Sweden) comes the medium-dark smoked Viking Ale, Gotlandsdrikke, meaning "Gotlands Drink". A dark ruby ale that was made in Viking-Norse homesteads with smoked barley and wheat malts that were spiced with new Spruce tips, creating this spruced/smoked mysteriously flavorful ale.  Fairly strong and full bodied.
